i’m giving away 2 new books that helped me lose 10 pounds!

Yep. I did it. I was stuck at 183lbs. forever, and a little therapy and reading some great books put me in gear. I’m now at 173lbs., or about 18lbs. from my goal - a total weight loss of 101 pounds!! I’ve been working on this for so long, since my gastric bypass in 2002. Having an RNY bypass is not a magic pill…I still had to work at losing the weight, and after one more baby, suddenly I had a little extra to lose. It’s these last 30 pounds that have stuck on for so long.

neversaydietSo, let me introduce you to Chantel Hobbs, author of Never Say Diet, and The Never Say Diet Personal Fitness Trainer. Chantel lost 200 pounds once she discovered that the way to weight loss was changing the way you think. She is a personal trainer and motivational speaker, and has been featured on Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox News, The 700 Club, and much more!

Chantel developed a balanced plan for nutrition and exercise — notice how she says “never say diet,” meaning these changes are in the way you will live your life, permanently. This is not a lose fast but gain it all back trap.

Her spiritual beliefs have helped her along the way, and she shares those thoughts with you, as well as the five decisions to make and break the fat habit for good. Chantel really aims to inspire you to better your body, mind, and spirit; these books have certainly inspired me.

personalfitnesstrainerAs a personal trainer and certified spinning instructor, Chantel is now passionate about keeping her body in shape once the extra fat was lost. She hosts a weeks fitness program on Reach FM radio, and holds a “Ditch the Diet, Do the Weekend” bootcamp several times a year in different locations across the United States.

The Never Say Diet Personal Fitness Trainer has room to write your accomplishments and track your intake of food and how much you exercise. Chantel says you can overcome past failures and achieve new weight loss goals, and through this book she helps you through a 16 weeks program aimed at achieving a healthy lifestyle.

My biggest hurdle has been my addiction to chocolate. Once I start eating them I can’t stop at just one. Its so hard to force myself not to buy a chocolate bar when I am out grocery shopping and it takes a lot of willpower. Somedays I am better than others.

My biggest weight loss hurdle is my laziness. HATE exercising! I’m not doing too bad food wise, and haven’t had soda in weeks…

I didn’t realize you had gastric-bypass! My sister in law just had that surgery in October. Now I have all of her old clothes. ;-) We wore the same size pre-surgery. Lucky me, cuz she was a shoppaholic!

You know that I don’t have an (over) weight problem but I do have an eating problem. I don’t know what is best for my body so I have a tendency to NOT EAT instead of giving in and eating bad food. Of course then I am starving and eat bad food. but then my health suffers, my running suffers and my energy is in the tank… a new lazy pattern emerges. These books hopefully will help with the mind set of eating as a healthy lifestyle which is what I want.

Ok so my hurdle is that I love food. I know it sounds silly but I really do love food. If it taste good I can’t just have a little bit and be happy. No I will eat until I feel sick to my stomach. So I guess that would mean I have issues with portion control.

My biggest hurdle not just to weight loss, but to health has been grief. After my husband passed away in December, 2007, I just gave up for a while. I ate whatever I wanted, I didn’t exercise, I just didn’t care. It took me a while, but I’m doing better now and seeing that life can still be good. I’ve already lost 10 pounds just by changing my eating habits, but now I need to get back to exercising. I still have a ways to go, but I’ll get there.

Thanks for the great info on these books, and I wish you continued success in reaching your goal! :-)
